The year is drawing to a close.  It has been a tumultous one.  I turned seventy this year! Obviously my artwork has slowed profoundly. And moving from one address to another has both complicated and simplified endeavor.
         Gardening was one of my great delights this year, wonderful Swiss Chard.  Bread baking is terribly satisfying.  But my art materials are buried in storage and under fatigue.
         So there is much to look forward to in 2015.   From me to you, Perserverence Furthers!

Late July

Today being Monday, July 28, 2014, a good day to blog, I'm posting in regard to a couple of biz cards I designed for a Picsart contest.

Otherwise: its getting windy at the beach, kiteflying weather. Lots of great yardsales may be an exaggeration. My cherry tomatoes are still quite green but the bush is huge. And I am settled into my new digs. Try to navigate around the fires, drought, tornados and old age! yours, bmartin

June is for Gemini

Communications! 

My life has gone topsy-turvy since a February storm made me as happy as a room without a roof. Had to move to the south side of Long Beach. Great little cabin which affords a garden of lettuces beside the door.

   You can probably tell by my archaic idioms that I am looking forward to being seventy in August.

Chinese New Year of the Horse, 2014

Once again I will make wood block prints for the Asian new year celebration at the World Kite Museum on SydSnyder Dr. in Long Beach WA on the Pacific Ocean. The museum is open 11-4 PM Sat-Sun Feb 1, 2014.
